Kenneth......The Turtle

Introducing the newest member of our family....."Bubba", yes after Kenneth. My little one misses her bubba so much she's been naming everything after him. Anyways, Bubba was given to Kali by her grandma Jan for her outstanding report card last quarter. I just went to teacher conferences again and a "9" is the highest score you can get on your testing, and she scored a "9". Now what am I gonna do? LOL! Anyways, Bubba is quite the poser as you can tell. I think he thought I was coming back to feed him again. In this first picture he's watching the top of the water to see if I'm going to hand him his food. Yes, he's spoiled.....we hold the food for him and he eats it from our hands. He got Kali's finger once and yes she cried. She thought he bit her on purpose! HAHAHAHA....yes, I laughed! I know, mean mom...but I just couldn't help myself:)

Cupcakes

Yes, the girls wanted to make cupcakes and I figured i'd shoot a few pictures. Most turned out blurry, but gosh darn it....i'm gonna get the hang of RAW shooting on manual indoors. Yes, I don't have the right flash and I didn't have the best lighting, but who gives a crap right? Anyway..... there are no pictures of the final product because I frosted them so late and really didn't care about pictures at that time.

Kali's Recital

Well, little miss dancing pants had her recital on Monday. She did superb! This was the one time she had confidence in herself and didn't look around to follow the other girls. I actually saw them watching her! I only have one still of her dancing.....but she is behind the speaker and the other part of the picture is the dudes head in front of me! I was only able to get one done because even though I may be able to carry 8-10 grocery bags at one time, I can NOT run two cameras, so I stayed with the video....sorry:(

Kali at clogging practice

I took some pictures of Kali at clogging practice today. She has sure come a long way these past few weeks. She was bumped up a class again this year and again is the youngest girl. Most girls are 8 and above. I wasn't really sure about her being in this class due to the hard routines and major foot techniques, but her coach told me that even though she might not be right on with the steps, she always knows what she's doing. She's right, and again, these past few weeks she's shown that. She has some recitals coming up. They are doing one of their songs on Monday, February 23rd. They will perform their other song at Cabin Fever Night in March and I'm assuming both performances during Weiser's National Old Time Fiddling week. I guess that means I had better get busy and make her costume.......UGH!

Here are some pictures of Kenneth during boot camp. They are from the video yearbook. I swear, there must have been close to 1,000 pictures on that thing. I am going to have to go back and see if I can find Kenneth in any more of them. These are just some of the better ones. I have another update on Kenneth.....He has passed into his 3rd block this week (Feb. 13, 2009). As you can see they were issued their fire gear. He is taking a claustrophobia test today, YIKES I would so fail that! He was also supposed to have his promotion ceremony this week, but I haven't heard about that yet. I will update you when I get more info:)

I took these pictures from Kenneth's myspace page. I got a call from him last night (Feb. 3, 2009) and he passed his first block with a 92% and is now off to the next block, which I believed he said is "fire chemistry". I will update with more pictures as soon as he posts them, and info as soon as I have some!
