Meet Oliver......this is his GQ shoot......HAHAHAHA! Yeah, so Miss Kali had to have a shoot to show her Bubba the outfits she spent her points on. It was raining, so I didn't get to do exactly what I wanted to but oh well! Anyways, here's Oliver in his camo boxers!

Another Clogging Recital

Kali had another recital tonight during cabin fever. Let me tell you, I HATE cabin fever night! It's the school carnival and it's so packed, rude kids, etc. Anyways, after her performance she came to the audience to watch the rest. One of the older groups dance to Thriller in the dark using white lights (they wear white ribbons in their hair, white gloves, white skirts and white socks-I think) which makes everything that they are wearing, which is white, stand out. Kali LOVES this dance and I decided to record it for her. She was sitting two seats away from me, Sherrie was next to me and right after it starts I hear something. Now, it's hard to tell because of the music and everyone screaming, but I look over at Kali and I see her staring at me....remember, I'm recording...anyways, I figure out it's her I hear and she's crying very loudly. Yes, I keep on recording because I don't know what in the heck could have happened to her to cause her to cry. Sherrie moves in closer to Kali and I see her hug her. She leans into me and Kali had smacked her mouth on the seat in front of her and it knocked one of her top teeth loose! It couldn't knock out the one that has been loose for ages, it knocks out the one next to it! Once the dance is over and the lights get turned back on I can examine her. It's freaking hanging lower than all of her teeth and there's a bit of blood. Well, we go do our carnival thing, the quick version and head home. I try twice to pull it out and I HATE messing with teeth! It won't come out! It comes down and sucks right back up there! Kenny tries and he can't get it. Now i'm sitting here with a daughter who is freaking out that everyone is going to make fun of her at school. Oh man, it's gonna be a long weekend!

Okay, I finally have the news......

Yes, it took me a while, but I finally have the news i've been wanting to share! Last week Kenneth was a bit nervous about a fitness test they were going to have. I forgot to ask him tonight, but I believe he said this one was done with gear on. I will ask him and if i'm wrong, i'll fix this. Anyways, here's a play by play of what went on: They started by picking up a rolled hose and running with it 50 yards and back again. They then picked up a ladder and ran with it up a ladder, set it on a roof, walked back and grabbed a charged water hose and pulled that 100 feet. They then ran back down and up the ladder three times, then walked over to a hose sled. They pulled that 50 feet by rope, then walked the 50 feet back to the other side of the hose sled and pulled it back 50 feet. After that they had to walk to the sledge hammer table, hit a tire 2 feet across the table, then went to a dummy (which weighed 145 lbs.), lifted and drug it 50 feet one way and then back. They then walked to the ladders, went back up and down two more times, went back to the ladder that was put on the roof, took it back down the ladder and back to the staging area. They finally went to the jaws of life, picked them up and ran with them 50 feet down and back. Each of the men were timed and it had to be completed with a time limit of 8 minutes. Kenneth had the fastest time of the class at 5:49!!! WAY TO GO!!!!

Update on Kenneth- March 11, 2009

I saw this on Kenneth's myspace last night and thought to myself......"hmmm, I wonder if we could have a future drill instructor on our hands!" Or maybe, this is how he set a couple Air Force guys straight last week:) Any way, I love this picture and wanted to share. I will also let you know that he passed his block test with a 94%, so he's off to the next block!

Kenneth Update-March 7, 2009

Here are some new pictures of Kenneth. He's been doing great. I'm still awaiting some info to share, it's about his fitness test, so check back. I do know he got a 100% on another test this week. Next week is the big test to move onto the next block. Be sending him "good vibes" on Monday! I again, took these from his myspace, so they are pretty small, but at least it gives you an idea of what he's been doing. Our trip for spring break has to be postponed and the WHS cheerleaders made it to state competition and yes, state happens to be during spring break. Our trip now will be for graduation!
